One of the new wave of indiepop acts coming out of Melbourne, Pikelet is Evelyn Morris. Also known for playing drums in various loud and hard-edged bands (including Baseball), this project shows her softer side. Using an accordion, a guitar, a loop pedal and various percussion, Pikelet crafts lush, intricate harmonies and melodies of gentle beauty. Both Pikelet's debut album (available from Chapter Music, or at the gig) and her gigs have received glowing reviews from the press in Australia; this is the first Pikelet gig in the UK.
